The setup I use

This is the best dungeon build I’ve tried during my time in Diablo Immortal. It keeps up with fast groups and gives me much stronger damage against elites and bosses, provided I keep using primary attacks and place the cloud where the fight will happen.

Two changes from my raid build

I replaced Detritus Stole with Violent Dissociation for Anodyne Bats and its three charges. Screeching Flight replaced Silenced Screams to add movement speed. Those are the raid-to-dungeon swaps; the old dungeon setup differs in several other slots too.

See the earlier raid guide for where this started. The recorded October dungeon setups are linked alongside this article.

The rotation

Keep Wave of Blood running and use Bats to travel between packs. Reach the elites or boss before casting Mephitic Cloud. Activate Whirling Strike, then keep using Shadow’s Edge to apply Bleed and build the Bloodsoaked Hood bonus.

The cloud stays where you cast it. Leaving it in an empty room is excellent customer service for monsters that do not exist. I still do it.

What the recording showed

Displayed training-dummy results from the recorded comparison.
SetupPassive DPSActive DPS
Old dungeon3.79M7.59M
Moving cloud2.94M9.91M
New dungeon2.26M16.38M

These are displayed results against one training dummy, with 60-second active tests. Passive damage fell, but primary attacks made a large difference. Old and new greens and Paragon also differ.

My solo Namari runs took 4:04 and 2:33 from first movement to Sargoth’s death, about 37% less time for the new setup. Both were Inferno XV Challenge, with different modifiers. The party runs show the practical payoff: keeping up with fast players while contributing against bosses.

If you prefer a moving cloud

Replace Bloodsoaked Hood with Fallen Light. That is easier to keep with you, but my active dummy result dropped from 16.38M to 9.91M. I kept the stationary version and accepted that I need to stop casting it after everything is dead.

I recorded this at 3,945 resonance with my raid reforges, four Vengeance and one Beneficial Effect Duration. I had not optimized greens or Paragon for dungeons yet. The old page uses Gorger’s Yawn and names Vanquisher; its individual nodes are not specified.
