What I found
Across three completed dummy runs per build, the replacement averaged 14.4% more displayed DPS than my Abomination setup, with the same greens and gems. That is a result from this comparison, not a guaranteed increase in raids.
The recorded setup
The replacement uses Shadow’s Edge, Mephitic Cloud, Whirling Strike, Swarm of Bats and Wave of Blood. The video shows the essence effects and how the setup works; use the linked Diablo.tv page to inspect the equipment.
The runs lasted 60–62 seconds. I compared their final displayed DPS and kept the green items and gems the same across the two builds.
| Setup | Displayed DPS |
|---|---|
| Abomination comparison | 23.02M |
| Replacement build | 26.32M |

The replacement link describes the October 2026 setup. The older Abomination page is a Summer 2026 reference and uses Bottled Hope instead of Enigma Latera. It is not an exact gem snapshot of the October comparison.
I have not tested different green-set combinations for this setup in this comparison. Raid mechanics, movement and your own equipment can change the result.
Try the comparison on your own setup.
- Check the skills, essences and item versions against the video.
- Keep the other equipment and test conditions consistent.
- Compare several completed runs, then see how the build feels in the activity you play.
